INFORMATION ABOUT KNOWN ISSUES
1. Watermark shown in the top layer of Brisbane and Newcastle VNC.
RATING:
A) Low

DETAILS:
Watermark displaying the text “Not in original location” is shown on the front layer of the Brisbane and Newcastle VNC.

FREQUENCY:
100%

CAUSE:
Incorrect map layers.

SOLUTION:
Download file containing correct maps.

DOES THIS RESOLVE THE ISSUE?:
A) Yes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Right Click on the 'Download file' link above and select "Save Target as" or "Save Link as". Save the zip file to an easy location such as My Documents or Desktop.
2. Extract the contents of the recently saved zip file by right clicking on the file and select "Extract file" or "Extract to folder".
3. Copy the two files you just extracted (in Windows Explorer go to Edit "Select all" and then Edit "Copy") and then paste them in the AirNav folder (usually C:\Program Files\Sentient\Airnav but may be different if you stored it at another location) then paste the files (Edit "Paste").
4. As the files with the same name already exist in the folder, a window will come up asking you to confirm that you would like to replace the existing files. Click 'Yes to All'.
5. If using Windows 7 or Windows Vista you may need to turn off User Account Control. Please do the following:
A. From the start menu select Control Panel.
B. In Control Panel select User Accounts and Family Safety.
C. Click User Accounts.
D. Click Turn User Accounts on or off and turn Off.
You may need to restart your computer so that the changes work.

ISSUES OF VERSION 3.5
1. ERSA files download disabled.
2. Text information on several VNC maps from AirServices Australia is incorrect.
3. A warning message alerting to the expiry date of current maps.
INFORMATION ABOUT KNOWN ISSUES
1. ERSA files download disabled.
RATING:
A) Low

DETAILS:
A message appears stating file cannot be downloaded; redirecting, when attempting to download the ERSA files for the Airfield Directory.

FREQUENCY:
100%

CAUSE:
Airservices Australia has changed the web page to download the files.

SOLUTION:
Download file containing new exe file to amend the web address.

DOES THIS RESOLVE THE ISSUE?:
A) Yes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Right Click on the 'Download file' link above and select "Save Target as" or "Save Link as". Save the file into your AirNav folder (usually C:\Program Files\sentient\airnav but may be different if you installed it at another location)
2. Run this file to install the update patch. Update will change the download address and user will be able to download new version of the ERSA.

2. Text information on several VNC maps from AirServices Australia is incorrect.

DETAILS:
A) AirServices Australia released digital versions of VNC maps with missing text or incorrect text data.

FREQUENCY:
100%

CAUSE:
Incorrect text data.

SOLUTION:
Download zip file containing correct maps.

DOES THIS RESOLVE THE ISSUE?:
A) Yes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Right Click on the 'Download file' link above and select "Save Target as" or "Save Link as". Save the zip file to an easy location such as My Documents or Desktop. The file is 100 MB so depending on your internet speed it may take some minutes to download.
2. Extract the contents of the recently saved zip file by right clicking on the file and select "Extract file" or "Extract to folder".
4. Copy all the files you just extracted (in Windows Explorer go to Edit "Select all" and then Edit "Copy") and then paste them in the AirNav folder (usually C:\Program Files\Sentient\Airnav but may be different if you stored it at another location) then paste the files (Edit "Paste").

Incorrect dates set in the AirNav.exe file

SOLUTION:
Download zip file containing new exe file.

DOES THIS RESOLVE THE ISSUE?:
A) Yes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Right Click on the 'Download file' link above and select "Save Target as" or "Save Link as". Save the zip file to an easy location such as My Documents or Desktop.
2. Extract the exe file from the recently saved zip file by right clicking on the file and select "Extract file" or "Extract to folder".
3. Open the extracted file AirNavVFR35.exe (double click the file to the run the application).Update will remove the subscription alert message.
